Sources and editorial status

This public beta keeps structure, source text, and modern interpretation separate. A calculated hexagram never depends on an AI model. The free summaries in this version are original editorial copy written for reflective use; they are not presented as quotations from a classic.

Structural data

The King Wen sequence and binary patterns were checked against the MIT-licensed strobus/i-ching dataset, pinned to commit 631a04b28ab7cc41f94265178bb99726831f2591. Hexagram symbols follow the official Unicode Yijing block. Attribution and license details are retained in the project's third-party notice.

Classical text corpus

No modern commercial translation is copied into this product. The source packet includes all 64 judgments, 64 image passages, and 384 changing-line passages from James Legge's 1882 public-domain edition. They were imported from the Apache-2.0-licensed xalen-iching transcription, pinned to commit cc6edbec1f748ebdc4950ae6198f575c5ada73fa. Historical wording and newly authored commentary remain separate.

Review status

The casting engine is mechanically testable. AI never chooses or changes a hexagram. Paid reports may use an AI model only to organize the relevant editorial packet around the user's question. The interpretation corpus remains independently edited material and is not presented as a human master's consultation or as a guaranteed prediction.
